A friend who is a meat buyer for a major retailer told me the other day hamburger is expected to take a large jump this summer cause last year when cattle prices were high most people sold their old pound cows, so there will be a shortage of cutter and canners. He said top choices of beef will have to be ground into burgers. $6-8 dollar a pound steak ground up wont make $1.99 lb hamburger.

The cattle prices were not that high in fact they were pretty low compared to past years because so many people were selling because of the drought. However there were a lot of people like us that held on and will be selling full steam ahead like normal this year.
Buy American, the job you save just might be your own.
