I have never understood this sport. 220+ mph in a 1500lb boat. WTF do you think is gonna happen? #-o

They need better cockpits for sure.

Last I heard, the cockpits were right out of F-14 fighter jets, and they seperate from the boat upon impact. Don't think you can get much better than that and still be under the weight you need to be to go that speed.

Again, if you are going that fast and come to an abrupt stop, I don't care what kind of cockpit you are in. You ain't makin' it.
