Cool story but that's BS that her own team wasn't allowed to help her out. Maybe they will change the rules in light of this story.

Great story, but being a softball mom, I doubt that the rules will change. What great sportsmanship of the other team though.

All I can say is WOW...great story...those girls on the opposing team should be very proud of themsleves and their parents should be proud that they raised such wonderful kids!

This was on sportscenter's Outside the Lines one Sunday during the summer. I was at the lake, we were having breakfast. I completely lost it while eating with my friends and family. The amount of selflessness, courage, and sportmanship displayed by all those girls was impossible o contain. I thought I was a gracious and good sport, till I saw that.

WOW, great story, nope I didn't loose it watching that, you don't know, you weren't here! I'm fine! ;)

I agree, hats off to those girls, their parents and coach, they have obviously learned some great values.
