Fishing Conditions on Lake Cumberland

— Water Temperature
As of November 7, 2008, the water temperature at Lee's Ford Marina was 58 degrees from the surface to 10 feet, 57 degrees at 15 feet and 56 degrees from 20 and 30 feet.

Fishing Conditions
Fishing conditions on Lake Cumberland are reported as follows: Striper fishing has been good on the main lake near mouths of major creeks and river channels ledges 40-70 feet down and are being caught on down lines fishing live shad and bucktail jigs. They are also reported in the jumps early and late in the day and are being taken on crankbaits. Bass fishing has been good on jigs and soft plastics at night and during the day on top water and crankbaits. Smallmouth Bass are on the main lake near points with the Largemouth Bass biting in the creeks and main lake pockets near wood structure. Crappie fishing has been fair to good around cover 8-10 feet deep on minnows and jigs. Below the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery and in the Cumberland River, Rainbow and Brown Trout can be caught on spinners, salmon eggs, night crawlers, and corn.
