$22,900.00 OBO For sale 1996 Talon 22 I/O with 502 carb motor. We are representing this boat to the best we can with the information that was provided to us by the owner. The owner did not want to deal with selling it and asked us to do it for him. Any serious buyers should have a professional survey done on this boat. So let’s start with the cosmetics. The owner said he was coming in late one night and hit one of the “no wake buoys” in the center of the bow area. He took it to a local shop that did a very poor job of repairing it. He brought it to us and we told him it would be winter before we could work on it. While he was here he decided he would rather have a new boat and sell this one. Here is my opinion of the boat and I am not going to sugar coat it. The gel coat is rough, faded and has stress cracks on the deck from being taken care of poorly. The drive has a nose cone added to it and a low water pick up. The boat needs some TLC. The owner claims it runs 90 mph and that is believable. I fired the motor just to run antifreeze through it, even though it is in a heated shop, I never want to risk losing power in the winter and cracking a block. The motor idled fine, but that is all the further I got. I recommend any buyer doing a leak down test.
