Houseboat Roof

Post by RickDeardorff5 »

Any opinions on what type of roof to put on. Have Gel Coat now. Looking for opinion on 1. pithane, 2. some type up enamel that is the same price as pithane (can't remember the name, 3. or just stick with the gel coat.

I have mine done with Gel coat again. Done by former employees of Sharpe. Pithane supposedly is slick when wet. Larry Blevins said material put in pithane to lessen slick surface wears away leaving a pitted place and this would be hard to clean years later. Pithane not supposed to chalk like Gel coat tho. My first roof lasted 12 years. If new job lasts that long that will do me.
I have taken the road least traveled................and now I am freakin LOST !
