2014 Fall Forum/s, Slip Customers, & Lake Family Gathering

Jamestown Resort and Marina (http://jamestown-marina.com ) has agreed to again host our 2014 FALL FORUM Party. Remember this is not just a "Forum" party and that members from ALL of the Lake Forums, JRM Slip Customers, friends and just any Lover of Lake Cumberland is invited to attend.

Date: October 4th 2014 (Some will be down Oct 3-5 but the main events and band will all be Saturday)
Time: 5PM Central Time for the main events Saturday
Location: Jamestown Resort and Marina Yacht Club

Main events:
• Saturday afternoon will feature a Cornhole Tournament around 5PM CT (6 ET) followed by a Pot Luck Dinner. Feel free to bring a covered dish, salad or dessert and even your favorite beverages for everyone to enjoy. Normally the Cornhole Tourney starts around 5PM CT and the Potluck picks up as it winds down (?6 CT?) –bring your favorite dish BYOB

• Saturday night, the band is… (Kerosene Alley) http://www.kerosenealley.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/kerosene.alley (recommended by Nearly Satisfied) will be performing at the Jamestown Resort and Marina Yacht Club from around 7:00 or 8PM CT to ???? Don't get too caught up on these schedules as we will try to stick to lake time. Aka, just let the party flow...

Kerosene Alley is playing for us at a discount rate from their normal so if they want they might have a fuel collection bucket in place. We were able to lure them in with the boatels and boat rides

Jamestown Resort and Marina will have their restaurant open for the weekend. For some, you may want to order a dish from them ahead and just forego the entire hassle of shopping/cooking.

Jamestown Resort and Marina has a Lodge on the “island” as well as Cabins up on the hill. Boatels should be offered for the party with details to follow....



Boatel and Lodging Rates:•
$200.00 per night plus tax for a boatel, limit 6 guests per boat per night.
The price has increased but JRM has also put quite a bit of work into the boats this year.

The Deluxe Suites are $71.95 and Super Suite $107.95 plus tax. Based on 2 adults per room; additional adults are $10.00 per person per night.

2 Bedroom Cabins: $53.95 per night plus tax, for up to 4 adults

3 Bedroom Cabins: $62.95 per night plus tax for up to 6 adults

Log Cabins: $109.95 per night plus tax for up to 6 adults

Need volunteers for the Cornhole tourney. JRM has boards but we need someone or two to keep score and organize everyone. THIS IS NOT MY cup o tea. I just help get these things arranged for us. If you want a good tournament. ...don't let me run it. lol

They keep screwing with the forecast and have drastically dropped the temp but still showing sunny Saturday and Sunday at the lake. I'm hoping the word cold in this cold front is over exaggerated and it will not drop as much as they are now estimating..

Big thanks again to Frieda and all the staff at Jamestown Marina for the 2014 Fall Forum's and Lake Family Party hosted by Jamestown Marina and Resort. Jamestown once again showed their hospitality and it was a quite (though cool) enjoyable weekend on the water. THANK YOU JRM!!!!!!!!! And if you have never seen Kerosene Alley they are most excellent and I hope to see them performing at the lake more in the future! If you chickened out because of the forecast or some other function you missed one great gathering. Turnout was low but we had quality not quantity. lol
