With fame & popularity also comes resentment & dislike from some; I have experienced this several times while having one of the quickest boats on the lake & several very nice cars; not to mention being incredibly handsome.

I at first would reply back, now I just laugh & move on!

In the past, every time it went down, Marine Assist would mention it to the new owner & he always stated they couldn't care.

Raritan Atlantis heads were replaced at the factory with the MSD Type II heads, satellite radio added also, canvas enclosures front & rear added also!
Roof redone, Sharpe's drains were removed and runoff now drains off back to avoid rotting wood!

I think this may help.

And on a side note, I believe I have made many a 100mph. pass in that background off to the left!

Just look at that wake! lol I KNEW that was coming LOL That boat, the first two years we owned it, would plane out @ WOT. Coming from the KY. River it was pulled every winter so there was no algae on it. Once it had set in LC for a fews years and all the things we threw in it, it slowed down a mile...

This was back in the mid 80's, taken coming out of Governor's Cove.

I too have never owned anything but Mercs. I do have several friends that own boats with Volvo's and they seem to like them. I truly believe that they are all now comparable to each other, but I don't plan on owning anything other than a Merc.

I like the looks of a houseboat, always will. Might not be the best way to do it, but that's how we've done in for 36 years now. As the boats get bigger (now 16'X82') coving out is much harder than it was with a 15'X44'... Just glad I have the option to do either!
